Aftercare
Your treatment does not end when you leave the clinic. Following the correct aftercare helps support your skin, minimise unnecessary irritation and protect your results.
After advanced skin treatments, you will receive treatment-specific aftercare by email. Please follow the instructions in that email, as they will be based on the treatment you received and the condition of your skin on the day.

Unless you have been advised otherwise:
Keep your skincare simple and gentle.
Avoid touching, picking or exfoliating the treated area.
Do not use retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs or other active ingredients until advised.
Avoid excessive heat, including saunas, steam rooms and very hot showers.
Avoid strenuous exercise for the timeframe stated in your aftercare email.
Avoid swimming until your skin has settled or as advised.
Protect your skin from direct sun exposure.
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF every morning.
Avoid introducing new skincare products while your skin is recovering.
Do not apply makeup until the timeframe recommended for your treatment.
Temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity, dryness, flaking or mild swelling can be a normal part of the skin’s response following certain treatments. The expected response and recovery time will depend on the procedure you received.

For the best possible outcome:
Follow the homecare advice provided.
Attend treatments at the recommended intervals.
Do not use additional active products without checking first.
Tell me about any changes to your health, medication or skincare before your next appointment.
Contact me before booking another procedure if you are unsure whether enough time has passed.
Results vary from person to person and often depend on a combination of professional treatment, consistent homecare and allowing the skin enough time to respond.
